RON ARTEST BABY ariza needs a player like kobe to create him shots from double teams and stuff
artest can generate his own shot and is better too

Ron, he will bolster that defense. Ariza will have a tougher time getting shots without Kobe taking the pressure off him

ron artest easy, come on man.
is it really a debate ron artest is an all star level talent. while ariza though a rising young player, hes more of a role player.

Well everybody says he needs kobe to create for him. But trevor got aaron brooks that can create for him. Luis Scola as well. james white. AND jermaine taylor. Trevor only had kobe but right now trevor can get looks from 3 different positions now

Artest stats wise is the better player, But the Lakers won a title with Ariza.
Kobe made Ariza a better player so l expect Artest to also be better!

Ariza has proved himself as a good playa but he needs his team around him to generate shots. Artest is a solo guy who needs no team to help him. l am also happy that Ariza is going to a team like the Rockets who do not stand much of a chance against the Lakers like the Cavs or the Celtics.

What up e h,
We know that Artest is going to step in as the Lakers starting SF. i'm not sure if Ariza will be starting (the Rockets may start Shane Battier) so we will have to wait & see.
i also think part of Ariza is success was that he was able to get a lot of open looks with teams double-teaming Kobe & i'm not sure that the Rockets have a lot of guys right now who demand double teams (esp. with Yao & Tracy hurt). But l think Ariza will give Houston a lot defensively & some intangibles.
Nevertheless based simply on minutes play & opportunities l think Ron will have a bigger impact in L.A. than Trevor will in Houston (in the immediate future).

Ariza is young, he improved his game with the Lakers but can he do the same with the Rockets without Yao & McGrady to take the pressure off him like Kobe. Good luck Trevor in Houston, it wo not be as easy for you like it was in L.A. Artest is around Kobe is age and is a proven veteran who brings toughness to the Lakers on defense, creates his own shot on offense and can spot up shoot the 3. He is hungry for a ring and will be a good fit in L.A.

Ariza. l am not sure that Artest and Kobe will get along. The only reason why Artest got a lot of attention here in Houston is because McGrady was not here. Ariza is younger and will bring so much to the team. The Rockets just getting younger as we speak. We grow young

Ariza will in the long-term. He is more athletic and is only 24. Artest, to me, is overrated. He is a good defender but is nothing more than a controversial mouthy Bruce Bowen.

Ariza is now stuck with a non-Championship contender. Between Ron and Trevor, l would go for Trevor for the Lakers. Artest would better fit in Cleveland. Too bad for Trevor. It would take years for the Rockets to be exciting again considering Yao and Tracy is injuries and now Artest leaving.
