l remember this guy before he was in the lakers l did not really think much on him until he came to the lakers...i saw him he plays great defense and shoots good percentage on the three point line...im not sure about his all around game can that improve ...can he be an all star calibur player like some late draft picks ( michael redd , gilbert areans , ron artest, carlos boozer , manu ginnobili)

Basically all he really did in the post season was shoot threes, but he didnt show much other offensive skills.

He did play good defense, but he does go after a lot of steals which creates great plays but also can create openings.

The question is can he really do this as a starter for 30+ minutes, which is something he didnt have to do before.

l think that his potential is as big as he wants it to be. With Ariza, you have a player with great length and athleticism. Those aspects allow him to be a very skilled defensive player, but his frame is too thin for him to use his athleticism and length to attack the paint offensively. If Ariza can add some muscle to his frame and learn how to shoot well off the dribble then he can very well be a star in the NBA.

Everybody on the team is a role player. They all play a role. Some have the role to play defense. Others are to rebound the ball. Some roles consist of score more than 20 points a game.

As a player you must know your role and perform it.

He played on an high level last year. He is young and may get better given the right situation. l think he best fit with the Lakers. We will have to see how it works out for him with the Rockets.

l honestly think that Ariza can be a superstar type player in the NBA and l think he is going to show that next year being the leader of that Rockets team and possibly making an All-Star appearance.
